Hi There,
We have recently purchased a Reach RX unit for a secondary unit for out team. We are a drilling and blasting contractor and use the GPS to simply pick up points that have been set out then generate a drill plan(vertical depth) to a known RL or lower floor height.
How can this be done in the field.
our other equipment allows for selection of elevation difference before picking up the points in there field rather than do it in a post field operation.
Any ideas would be greatly appreciated before we look for alternative software.
Cheers.
If I’m understanding you correctly you can import points with the level you want to achieve and stake them out. Or if you are doing a large area instead of specific points create a mesh model and import it in to get guided cut/fill.
Hi @tm2qtytgj5,
First, welcome to the forum!
I agree with @michaelL. You can import surfaces into your projects in Emlid Flow 360 and stake out the surfaces and the objects within them in Emlid Flow and your unit. You can also create a mesh model and import it to get cut/fill values.
Just to mention, this feature is part of the Survey Plan in Emlid Flow. I’d recommend checking out this guide from our docs. It has a step-by-step workflow for working with surfaces and staking out.
Thank you Keith,
I thought as such but wanted to make sure I wasn’t missing a simple elevation difference pick up key.
Ill check out the guide for details
