Correction Input Method for Known Point on RS2+ Used as a Base

Hello. I am just getting started using a pair of RS2+ receivers as base and rovers for GCP measuring. I am currently running Reach firmware 32.2

I’m using the RS2+ as a base at a known point. I’ve followed the great documentation to manually enter the coordinates for that point.

I need to choose a correction input on the base. Should that be in the off position since I’m not using NTRIP and none of the other options seems to refer to the known point?

Thanks in advance for the help. I tried to find a solution to this in the forums and came up empty.

Hi Jason,

Welcome to the community!

If you are using the RS2+ as a base and are setting up the coordinates manually, you can switch off the Correction Input. This refers to the method of receiving corrections to your rover.

For the rover, turn off the Base Output and set up the Correction Input. Base output is the method for sending corrections from your base.

What you’re looking for is in the Base Settings menu.

Also note that if you receive the known point coordinates in a projected system, you can avoid converting them manually to geographic coordinates by creating your survey project in advance (with that same system) and adding a point with the known coordinates.

Afterwards, when you go in the Base Settings menu, you’ll be able to select that point and Emlid Flow will automatically convert and add the geographic coordinates as the position of your base.
