Hi Guys,
I don’t have a receiver yet but I wanted to know more about the accuracy of the automatic collection mode.
Is the difference in accuracy between a point collected in 0 seconds and 3 seconds big?
For a point collected in 0 seconds, can we still have less than 4cm of errors?
Thank you in advance!

Hi Marvin,
Thanks for your question!
The accuracy of your collected point depends on the solution your receiver gets. If it achieves a Fix solution, that means it has resolved any ambiguities in its calculations. With a Fix, you can usually get a centimeter-level accuracy, whether you collect the point instantly or average it over time.
Averaging just means the receiver takes multiple samples over a few seconds and calculates a mean value. This can help smooth out any tiny variations. Please note with a Fix solution, you’re already working with centimeter-level accuracy. So yes, even a point collected in 0 seconds can still be within 4 cm of accuracy, as long as the surveying conditions are good.
To obtain the best results, I recommend following our recommendations for the receiver placement and ensuring a stable corrections stream.
