Connecting Reach module rover to amplfier TW125

Hello all,

I need to improve the reception SNR of the Reach acting as the rover device, for this I thought on using an amplifier sold by the same manufacturer that makes the antennas.

This is the amplifier: TW125B 27dB Inline RF Amplifier (Full GNSS) | Tallysman

What do you think? This might improve the SNR by increasing the power consumption.

Any ideas or experiences welcome.

Regards.

An amplifier won’t improve SNR, it will amplify both the signal and noise (and even introduce some additional).
Use this only if you have a long cable with a noticeable loss. Using amplifier with a short cable will result in overloading the antenna input circuitry on a receiver.

Hi, your explanation makes completely sense.

Thanks.
