Connect Ublox Receiver to Windows via COM Port

Hi, I would like to if it’s possible to connect the Navio2 Ublox receiver to a Windows PC via COM port. If yes, how should I do that. I want to do this because I want to upgrade the new Ublox firmware .

Hi @vjfm,

There is no ready solution for it. However, you can connect Navio2 U-blox receiver to U-center via TCP.

Thank you Tatiana. I have already tried that. I manage to connect to ucenter, but I can’t upgrade the firmware. I was thinking linking the Navio2 with a PC via FDTI->USB. What do you think about this? Thank you very much :slight_smile:

Hi @vjfm,

I hardly can provide you with a workaround on connecting u-blox to u-center over COM port, as there is no ready solution. It should be possible to update the firmware if you connect u-blox directly to PC. However, it’ll require soldering and we usually don’t recommend doing it.
