Configure RS2 to connect a IDS (GPR system)

Good morning to everybody and the support team of this Forum,
we are trying to connect the new EMLID RS2 to a IDS-GPR system using the K2WAVE software.
We use tha data cable ended RS232 port and connect directly to the Laptop that controls the GPR system using k2WAVE.

Before we buy RS2 we use the following configuration with an old LEICA version of GPS system (NMEA - GGA, 0.2 Hz of data period send, 8 bits, 1 - and Parity (the usual parameters for this trype of transfer.

We use UART / 115200 baudios / NMEA…but the software does not recognise the data.
Does it neccesary to have good signal conditions to see if it is connected?

Hi @j.fuente,

Reach can send empty NMEA messages even if it states No solution. To transmit coordinates, it needs at least a Single solution. It requires satellite visibility, so I’d recommend testing the setup outside.

What else you can check:

  • Talker ID. If your GPR requires the GP talker ID instead of GN, you can change it in the Position streaming tab.

  • NMEA messages. You can try to leave only GGA as in your previous setup.

  • Baud rate. Please ensure your GPR supports the chosen rate.
