Choosing the correct coordinate system

I am getting ready to purchase the RS3 rover and have a question about choosing the correct coordinate system in Flow. We currently use “New York Long Island 3104 (United States/NAD83)”, US Survey Feet. I noticed in Flow there is an “NAD83/New York Long Island (ftUS)” and if I search for “3104” there is a “NAD_1983_CORS96_StatePlane_New_York_Long_Island_FIPS_3104_Ft_US”
Does anyone know the difference and if I should use one instead of the other?

Thanks in advance,
Joe

Hi @jlombardo74,

Welcome to the community!

These two CS you mentioned have different NAD83 realizations: NAD83(CORS) and NAD83. The current realization used in the USA is NAD83(2011).

With this, I suggest selecting EPSG:6538 in Emlid Flow and using the appropriate geoid after.

Please note that this CS is metric, so before saving the project, select USft as the linear unit.
