I thought I would post a real cheap fence post mount I came up with. I think it was $3USD.

I found a thing years ago, it is a lag bolt on one end and 5/8X11 thread on the other end. Works good for fence post. Put a double nut on the threaded end and screw it in with a cordless impact.
Just looked on Google, it is called a hanger bolt.
