Cell phone positioning accuracy

Hey everybody,

I’m considering buying a Reach RTK kit. But I’m still not sure whether my setup will give me the accuracy I’m looking for.
I want to set up a base station on a fixed position. Then I want to attach the antenna of the rover on the back of my cell phone and move around. There will always be a max distance of 1 km between rover and base. Is it possible and realistic to position the cell phone movement with an 5 cm accuracy in real time?

I don’t see anything wrong with this. Keep in mind its the antenna that determines the location. So it will need to be in an open area and have full view of the sky. Just trying to deter the “I’ll just stick it in my pocket and it will work”. :slight_smile:
