Can a different wifi module be used on the edge? - Please help

Hi,

We are building a small quad using the edge and the supplied alpha wifi module doesn’t physically fit in our quad. Is it possible to use another wifi adapter, for example a Tp-link Archer T2UH on the edge. I have tried connecting it and although the raspberry pi module can see it, it wont create the access point with it.

Could you please point me on where in the configuration I should be looking into.

We are using the quads indoor only, so we do not need the long range aspect of the supplied Alfa.

You need to be sure, that your WiFi module has the same chipset as the module from the kit.
If you need a smaller one, I can recommend you Netis WF2561 which is compatible with EDGE.
