Base Shift

If I do a base Shift with a known point, the CSV coordinates of the base are the new coordinates and not the average ones?
I need to post process two points and I need the coordinates of the base of the system.
Thank You for help

Hello Luis,
RV3 starts applying base shift to all the points you collect further. In this case, it means that all points collected after base shift will be positioned exactly relative to the permanent survey mark.
Also a calculated shift will be applied to base coordinates in CSV file.
To obtain the coordinates of a base you have to subtract these calculated shift to a base coordinates in CSV file.
Calculated shift can be obtained with RV3.

Hello Zino, how are you? I was able to verify that the base shift modifies the coordinates of the base in the CSV.
In order not to make a mistake, I am going to verify it with the total station.
The averaged coordinates are different from the RV3 CSV. Cheers

Hi Luis,

That’s right – the base coordinates are shifted for all the points collected with a base shift. To find out the initial base coordinates from the CSV file, you can check the base position for the Measured point. It’s collected before the base shift is applied.
