Avoiding doubled power supply

I have just bought 2 Emlid reach M2’s and would like to connect both to a Raspberry Pi 3, that serves as external backup and is only turned on 1 time per month. The receivers will serve as a base and rover and will be turned on continuously. They will be powered with an external source via S1. I intended to plug the receivers through the USB ports but in this case I have a double power supply that is not recommended and might damage the device. Are there any other solutions to solve this issue? All of this needs to work independently at a remote location, powered by a solar panel.

Use USB power, and S1 port RX, TX, GND pin → CP2102 USB-TTL adapter to connect RPI
