AUSPOS with Reach RS2 data

Hi Alan,

The settings you describe are exactly what we use in the AUSPOS preset. The only difference is that the default logging rate is 30 seconds. This helps to reduce the weight of the log.

Depending on the data, changing the logging rate can give different results. However, if you want to use a 1-second interval, you can apply an AUSPOS preset in Emlid Flow and change the rate manually. This should give the same results as the workflow you described above.

Have you compared the data recorded with an AUSPOS preset and converted in Emlid Studio for the same time period? If so, could you please share these logs with me?

Would Alan’s workflow be suitable if we wanted to use the Emlid Base for PPK for UAV survey (i.e. log all satellites at a higher rate) and THEN once back in the office, submit the logs for AusPos to get the accurate known point? (which we then input into PPK survey workflows).

Hi Reece,

Sure. Another option for you is to use the Backup source data for RINEX option from the Logging settings. This way, you can use our preset for AUSPOS and record a log suitable for it right away. But you’ll also have a UBX log with the settings you’ve chosen in the GNSS settings tab to process the data in Emlid Studio.
