Apple iPad and Mock GPS

Hi All,

Question for a friend of mine (I don’t use Apple products and am not very familiar with their Apps either).

Is there an App, similar to the ones for Android, that would work with an iPad for using a Mock GPS Location?

Does anyone have a Reach working with an iPad and providing a Mock GPS Location; without jailbreaking the device?

Thanks!
Steve

As far as I can find out it’s impossible to connect directly. Apple is very restrictive, to bypass their ‘location services’ needs a jailbreak. We use Bad Elf GPS devices because they are one of very few that are useable (licenced) with Apple.

I’m hoping to set up a Reach as a base and Ntrip caster to enable DGPS on the Bad Elf Surveyor and get sub metre precision into the iPads that way. Ask me in six months if it worked or not. )

Thanks @cseastaugh, sad that Apple is so restrictive. No wonder I don’t use anything Apple!
