The connection between the receiver and mobile kept being interrupted durin averaging a pont (15 min). The mobile was connected to the Rover Wi-Fi but Emlid Flow couldn’t find the Rover. When it dound it, the connection again dropped during the 15 min recording. I bypassed the problem by using bloluetoth.
The problem resurfaced now when im trying to update the Rover firmware. There is again a problem with the Wi-Fi connection.
Attached pictures from surveying (when I was trying to record points with 15 min averaging and the connection kept dropping) showing how the Rover is connected to Wi-Fi but Emlid Flow can’t find it no mater how many times refreshed.
The Base doesn’t have problems and I updated it without problems.
Make sure the receiver is also ouside in clear sky view or at least next to a window while trying to connect. Mobile device / receiver within hotspot or wifi distance also.
I’ll need to check this out for you. For this, I’ll need the following details:
What model is your Android device?
Do you have another phone that you can connect to the unit? Does the issue still persist?
Also, it would be helpful if you can reproduce the issue with the unit and generate the Full System Report. You can send it to me via email at support@emlid.com and I can go through it.
You won’t be able to update the receiver via just the receiver’s HOTSPOT as no internet. Must connect to wifi thatchas internet. Also receiver’s hotspot only reachs a very short distance before it loses connection.
I use Samsung S22. I’ve only used this one with Emlid. I have no issues with the Base, just the Rover. Because of some connection issues I can’t even update the Rover, but had no problems with the Base.
Will see if I can reproduce the issue, at least with updates problem won’t be a problem to reproduce it.
@SurveyingBird , have you tried connecting to the same unit via Reach Panel? You can give this a shot to generate the Full System Report and send it over.
I managed to connect to the Reach Panel with no problem and generated the full report and just sent it to you via support@emlid.com.
Keeping WiFi connection with the mobile during averaging was a problem and in the past days I could not update the Rover as the device keeps disconnecting me. Had no issue with the Base for getting the updates.
