Is there a way to layout a cad alignment using the stationing from CAD?
Hi @Terrahawk, I’m pretty sure this is already being discussed but I can’t find the thread right now. I assume you are talking about custom stationing for the line. Example: Everything right now starts at 0 (0+00) whereas your plan may start at 10+00?
@inkar.madikyzy, do you recall this discussion?
If you find the thread @michaelL , I’d be interested in seeing it
thanks
I remembered. It was in the Emlid Pro group. Just a brief discussion of being able to key in the starting station of a line. This would be very beneficial so let’s hope it gets on the board. Is this what you were thinking?
Hi @Terrahawk,
Welcome to the community!
We do not yet support stationing and alignments in Emlid Flow. Could you please tell me more about how you’d like to use this feature?
Thank you!
Hi Ruth,
I’d like to take a Civil 3d Alignment in, probably via landxml and be able to use the stakeout command to stake out offsets based on chainage.
That make sense?
Frank
Thanks for letting us know. You can use the landXML as a Surface File in Emlid Flow 360 and use the stakeout feature, however this is more beneficial for surface leveling. In your case, you can import a CAD file as a DXF file, and this can help you stake out the lines. Can this work for you?
