About the Navio2 controller

i’m a student and is doing a project on building autonomous drone so i would like to know more about the navio2.i’m new to this field and would like to know that if programming is required for this if so what platform the program is.

Navio2 is powered by ArduPilot written on C++ and ROS.
Also you can try C++ and Python sensor examples.
