@DaneGer21, yes, well spotted, mine is a 3DR “clone”, it seems, with a different pin layout, which is documented on the radio’s circuit board, see pictures below:
I have connected Rx of Reach to Tx of the 3DR and vice versa.
But, as I said above, I believe the problem already starts with the fact that the light does not go solid green, which it should as soon as both 3DRs have power, independent of what if any data is sent via Rx/Tx…

True. Wonder if they were mixed up from the factory. Try the 3dr radio config tool. I’ve never used it but maybe they are on the wrong channel like you are thinking. Good luck! Keep us posted.
@DaneGer21, everyone, it’s working!
I swapped the one set of 3DR radios with another set, exactly same wiring, and the LEDs went solid green right from the outset, and unless Pinkie and Brain (my Reach units) are lying to me, it seems that they are communicating over 3DR radio
