18-07 image for Navio2

Hi,

What has been changed between the image of April and the one from 18-07? Do you have a change log somewhere?

No doubt, totally interested as well! What more could have changed for the better? I myself can hardly wait for AC3.4-rc2 to be released; any word on a rc2 release date?

Can we just run “sudo apt-get update && sudo apt-get dist-upgrade” to update the former 20160408 image to the 20160718 version?

From a user’s perspective the newer image is mostly the upgraded old one with a driver for rtl8812au-based Wi-Fi dongles.

So are you saying that 20160718 is basically 20160408 + the rtl8812au driver? will “sudo apt-get update && sudo apt-get dist-upgrade” install the rtl8812au driver?

No. You’ll need to install it yourself. It’s easy, though:

sudo apt-get install rtl8812au-dkms
