Reach max specs (update rate, speed, accuracy)

I’m looking for a way to determine the relative position of drones in a formation (swarm). Reach and RTK seems promising, as GNSS electromagnetic field is already setup around the Earth. Drones in our formation expected to flight with speed up to 50m/s and to flip sometimes.

Whether a directional GNSS antenna is striсtly required, or can I use the omni-directional? How can the high speed of the “rover” affect the RTK accuracy? What are max. update rates for RTK position and IMU data ?

Hi @seaowl,

No GPS will maintain stable carrier phase lock when a drone flips, omnidirectional antennas have lower performance in general.

Update rate is up to 14Hz, IMU up to 4KHz (not yet implemented).
