Terrible GPS Reception

We’ve configured our GPS for RTK, and took our GPS to a relatively open location. However, when we collect data, the data fluctuates by 2 meters. The status also continuously says “float” and won’t say “fix” for longer than 3 seconds. Also, our baseline is incredibly inaccurate. We will be 15 meters away and the baseline will still continuously say 70 or 80 meters, even with a “float” status. Any advice?

Make sure your base corods are correct and your elevation is correct. Lat and long for base are WGS84 and elevation is WGS84 ellipse height. Do not use NAD83, NAVD88, geoid or ortho height.

If you share raw log, we could try detect issues there. Also a picture of the actual site and gear setup is helpful
