Solid red led, hot and stop logging

Hi to all,
I have a problem.

I bought an emlid reach M+ and mounted into a quadcopter.
Then I complete the setup and all seemed to work.

Then I went to a field to try it.

And this is the result:
-400 Photo (From arducopter logs)
-270 Points From emlid rinex file

The RTK worked well for 270 photo then it stopped working.

The firmware was 2.22.1.

Now I try to update the firmware but it is very hot, and there is a solid red led.

Can you help me?

Thank you Romeo.

Hi Romeo,

Could you clarify which GNSS selection and update rate you use during the flight?

For time mark logging, we recommend using one from the following configurations:

System Frequency
GPS + GLONASS + GALILEO + SBAS + QZSS 1 Hz
GPS + GLONASS + QZSS 5 Hz
GPS + GALILEO 5 Hz
GPS 10 Hz

Otherwise, Reach M+ might lose time marks.

Which power source you’re using during the update?

Hi!
Thank you.

During the update I can power it up directly through usb or through 5V from a BEC, but unfortunately it makes no difference.

About frequency I tryed with 1Hz, 5Hz and 10Hz, but it didn’t fixed the lost of frame.

Today i noticed that is very hot after 20min of flight… does it have a protection about temperature?

Thank you.

Romeo.

Hi Romeo,

Could you share the video of Reach’s behavior when you’re trying to update it?

May I ask you to share the raw data logs from these flights and the time mark number you expect to have in these files?

We usually recommend providing M+ with additional ventilation to prevent any issues with overheating. Could you share hardware setup photos from your build?
