RS2+ as local base

I want to use my Reach RS2+ as a local base. I set up a project and want to observe a point for 1 hour to get a known point. I will do this by logging into my state’s RTK system. After observing the point for 60 min I will then configure the RS2+ by selecting this point from the project. I suppose my question is whether I can rely on this as an accurate point or should I get an OPUS solution by sending OPUS the RS2+ observation file?

ANY assistance would be much appreciated.

Thanks to all,

Chris

You can do both as a check !

I always check our RTN data as a check on itself and as another check I usually post process myself with commercial pp software (Javad Justin)

Hi @chris-bullseye,

I see @EBE111057 already commented, yes indeed you can perform both ways to check. Logging into your state’s RTK system and observing for an hour should give you an accurate point. However, if you want a confident result from your base coordinate, running the RS2+ observation file through OPUS is a good way to get a more precise result.
