New to RTK

I was wondering if it is going to be possible to use Reach for building a Rover(Maybe a base station too) instead of purchasing an expensive Trimble Rover for acquiring ground control points for mapping purposes. Will there be any documentation to aid in putting this together by chance?

I am aware of at least two projects aiming to build a rover for mapping based on Reach, they have not yet published anything, but I am sure that they will as soon as they get their hands on the receivers.
