External LED feedback

Is there any way to get any feedback using external LED. Like when is fixed vs float vs single solution? Maybe with a little script for raspberry pi? I’m trying to get an enclosure together for the Reach, but I would like to have a physical feedback, so I don’t rely too much on the cellphone or tablet connected to Reach as rover.
Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

P.S.- I’m not a programmer or know much about writing code

If you have lefebure connected, you can have a sound notify when its fix/float.

Not really, I guess. The LEDs already display enough information to squeeze even more in.
