I would like the source code for the RTKLIB version that is built into Emlid Studio.
Emlid Studio is a nice program but it lacks support for batch processing and operation on Linux. Having the corresponding RTKLIB source code available would allow custom integration into processing workflow.
Contributing back the code would also allow Emlid to further support the community.
Why would Emlid publish their code ? I’m sure there was a lot of work done by them for their version.
It amazes me how people think they can get something for free. Emlids refined processor is their work and I’m sure they’ve invested a lot of time and effort.
Your request will probably fall on deaf ears. I’m damn sure I wouldn’t publish it if I developed it.
I have not investigated it fully nor does this construe legal advice, but I found this link on their Github stating the terms of the RTKLib licensing to 3rd parties:
Note that it is not GPL. It would be a nice gesture to the community to have access to the source, but I also understand if they do not want to release it.
From our side, there are no source codes that I can share. The software is currently compatible with macOS and Windows, but I agree that it could benefit Linux-based systems. I’ve passed your thoughts to our dev team, and I’ll let you know if there are any updates.
For now, some of our users have suggested running the software with Wine, which worked well for them. You can give this a shot.
