I am unable to scroll to modify a current project from ellipsoid height to select Geoid 18. This occurs both on phone and desktop.
Unfortunately, I don’t believe that you can change any coordinate system information after the project has been created. Definitely not in the app but perhaps in flow 360?
Hi Richard,
In Emlid Flow 360, you should be able to change the coordinate system of an existing project. To use local vertical datums like GEOID18, the horizontal coordinate system needs to be set to a local one.
Am I right in assuming that your project is currently set to a global coordinate system? If so, please try switching it to a local coordinate system. After that, the app should list all suitable vertical datums.
The original coordinates don’t change, and the system recalculates the missing coordinate pair (the local ones, in this case).
Understood. The problem is scrolling thru the library to select the local system. I seem to continuously have trouble with desktop and phone app. Not scrolling to select. I was able to on my iPad. Just wondering if anyone else has similar issues.
???
Are you certain you can change a project’s coordinate system and/or vertical datum after the fact? Can change units and angles, but not seeing how for a CS?
EDIT: NVM. In Flow 360 only, NOT app.
Yes, pull up project in Emlid Flow - go to right hand side three dots click on and select edit info
I agree that scrolling through the entire list of coordinate systems isn’t easy. So, there’s a search option where you can type your country name or the EPSG code. Have you tried that yet?
If I misunderstood your message, please correct me.
