Emlid at the OPTIMISE workshop in France

In the end of November 2017 Emlid took a part in OPTIMISE workshop in Toulouse, France. OPTIMISE Project explores the use of optical tools for proximal sensing of ecophysiological processes. The project often involves using rotary-wing UAVs to carry spectrometers for remote sensing. Accuracy is crucial when working with geospatial data, this is where Reach RTK steps in.

We gave a presentation on using RTK GNSS in UAV mapping and demonstrated collecting ground control points with Reach RS in the field. After the field trip, we also showed how to use logs from Reach for Post Processed Kinematic (PPK) survey.

With Emlid Reach RS you can easily place highly accurate ground control points on site before the flight. Emlid Reach can be connected to the camera on board of your UAV to get accurate coordinates of each photo taken during a flight. Photos and coordinates can be then processed into centimeter-accurate maps.

Many thanks to OPTIMISE COST Action Committee for inviting Emlid and making us a part of such a great event!

I’m 1,5h away… having known you came here ill would be there to learn and thank you!
