DNS resolution occassionally failing on unit

Hi,

We use pairs of RS2 and RS2+ units as our base station and we use emlid caster to enable access to these base stations. Every now and then (it’s been happening for nearly a year or more) it seems that the RS2 unit fails to properly resolve the caster.emlid.com address and as a result becomes no longer able to connect to our caster account.

We mount our base stations in a hard-to-access location for an ideal open sky view, but that makes these issues problematic as we need to access the units directly/physically and replace the address with the IP address.

Does anyone know why this kind of issue keeps popping up?

we’ve also had other little weird quirks where our units will connect to the caster and be available on the caster table, but no clients are able to make a connection until we toggle the mounts off and then back on (from the caster table specifically).

Hi Stephen,

What firmware version do you have on your Reach? Is it the latest 31.7?

The base doesn’t pass corrections until you turn the toggle of the MP on/off. Is that correct? Does turning MP off/on solve the issue for some time?
