It’s been a few years since I’ve had to set up a base unit without a known location. I have a new associate coming to work in a few weeks and I want to teach him how to do this. The last time I did it, the process involved turning on logs, setting the base up for at least four hours and then using the logs, special software and an internet site to find the base location. As I also recall, it takes two or three weeks after collecting the data to get the most accurate location information from the website.
Has this process changed with advances in technology? Is there a recent tutorial showing the process from start to finish?
Located in NW Georgia, USA-two RS2 units.
Thanks,
Frank
