CSRS-PPP service upgrade from version 4 to version 5 with Galileo

Received an e-mail today from the Canadian Geodetic Survey of Natural Resources Canada regarding improvements in their CSRS-PPP service. I thought it might be of interest to people who use this system.

From the e-mail:
"The Canadian Geodetic Survey (CGS) of Natural Resources Canada is planning an update to the Canadian Spatial Reference System Precise Point Positioning (CSRS-PPP) service on May 14, 2025. This CSRS-PPP update includes, for the first time, support for Galileo PPP with ambiguity resolution (Galileo PPP-AR) for E1/E5a observations collected on or after 27 November 2022 when processed with either the Rapid or Final products. Submissions processed with the Ultra-rapid products will continue to support only GPS and GLONASS observations. At the same time, there will also be minor updates to some CSRS-PPP outputs. For more information regarding this update, please visit the CSRS-PPP modernization page.

If you have questions or encounter issues that require assistance from CGS staff, please contact us by email.

We look forward to providing an improved positioning service with this new version.

Thank you for sharing the update. The advancement is a good one, but it also reminded me that Emlid Studio does not provide an option to replace the observed ephemerides data with rapid or final data (*.sp3).

You gotta go back to RTKLIB to access that capability.

Hi @MapScience

Thanks for bringing this up. I have passed it to our development team. Currently, we have no ETAs on this, but if anything changes, I’ll keep you updated.
