Correcting base location

I had always used RTK with CORS and recently established a control point using CORS at a site with difficult internet access to do the survey I wanted. I setup an RS2 as a base at this point but apparently put in the wrong coordinates of the base, but didn’t realize it until back at the office breaking down the survey. Is there a way I can apply a correction through base shift or some other means to avoid having to resurvey?

Hi Richard.
You should be able to post process your work with Emlid Studio. You can specify the correct point location for the base manually.

Hey @rich1,

Welcome to the Community Forum!

When setting up the base manually by typing in the coordinate, you can calculate the difference between this and the established control point and apply this shift to all the rover coordinates in the CSV. It’s important to ensure that the correct base coordinates are in the same datum as the updated ones.

Also, as @dpitman suggested, you can use Emlid Studio to manually enter the correct base position and run the files in PPK. Upload the base RINEX observation files and change from RINEX Header position to LLH.

Thanks, I essentially did that in AutoCAD by taking the survey points tied to the incorrect base location and transferred that group’s base point to the correct base coordinate location and all looks good. I also plan to post process as well as a confirmation. Thank You both!
